My family

I daily wake up thanking the Lord for the wonderful family he has given me. As I've began this journey of building my own family with my husband, I have realized how intentional my parents were in keeping our family close and how important it is to be grounded in Jesus Christ.

[Bryant & I on a bike ride a few years back]

I would like for you to meet my best friend, who happens to be my husband as well, Bryant. I am constantly laughing, constantly encouraged, uplifted, challenged, continually learning, and always loved when with this man. He's my one and only. Doing life with him is the most fun I've ever had. He's an incredible father, provider, and husband.
[You just know a good dad when you see him]

All the hopes and dreams I wanted to find within my husband that were written down in my journal all came true when Bryant came into my life. He's the one God chose just for me.

[Sweet Bryson...he's such a stud!]

"Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination, full of hope." -Maya Angelo
Meet Bryson, my incredible step son. See that smile on his face? The same joy radiating from his smile shines bright from within his heart. I met Bryson when he was 2 years old and I've been in love ever since. I have learned more about life from him than any other person. He has shown me how to love deeply, how to have fun & how to forgive. He's my everyday blessing & I thank God for choosing me to be able to pour into his life and watch him grow. I am not in his life to replace his biological mother, just as his step father could never replace Bryant. I am here to love and care for him; to give Him the best life and pour as much of the Lord into him as possible. I know the Lord has mighty plans for him and I love being a part of his life!
[He's my sunshine on those cloudy days]

[Maci Leigh & Jena Renee]

One of the greatest honors I have within my life is to be called "sissy" to two of the most beautiful souls: my sisters, Maci and Jena. These two hold a very special place in my heart. Funny fact about us: we all 3 come from the same parents, however our physical characteristics couldn't be any different. I have medium colored skin, blonde hair & green eyes. Maci, the middle sister, has very light skin, dark brown/almost black hair & crystal blue eyes.
[Maci aka Moo]

And Jena, the baby, we used to call the "Copper tone Baby" because her skin was so dark, her brown hair & brown eyes.
[Jena aka Boo-Boo]

All from the same mama & daddy! Maci is currently in the education program at Columbus State University and will graduate in December of 2015. She's the stubborn one & is if you're ever in a fight, you want her on your side. She's fiercely loyal...don't mess with her sisters or you will have quite a problem on your hands. She's incredible with kids and will make the best teacher! Jena is our drama queen. She's an incredible actress, claiming many awards within the drama society, and one day, you'll see her on broadway. She'll be graduating in May of 2016 (oh my, I'm getting old) and will be headed to ELON University in North Carolina to pursue theater. These two are my closest friends...they know the dirty side of me and still choose to love me. There's nothing like the bond between sisters. I have the most fun when I'm with them and I know when we get to heaven, we're all going to have houses beside one another with buckets of Nutella to eat, with the promise of never getting fat!

[My sisters & I with our mama & daddy]

I have two role models in life: my mama and my daddy. My mama has taught me the importance of hard work; to never take short cuts, but daily give your very best. She taught me what it meant to be a godly wife and to wait patiently for the Lord's plans. She showed me what being a mother meant: unfailing, sacrificial love...daily putting aside your own wants and desires to give what is best for your children. She's our superwoman and God gave the very best to us Pitts girls!

[My mommy & I]

My daddy has shown me how to love the unlovable; to continue on when life gets hard, never giving up; to trust the Lord through everything and use the talents He has given you to glorify Him. His arms protected me when life knocked me down & dried my tears when I had a broken heart. He taught me the hard lessons in life, while teaching from a heart full of love for me.

[My daddy & I]

Both of my parents have pushed me to be my very best, never settling for anything less. They built our family on Christ & poured His love into our lives and for that, I am forever grateful.

God blessed me with a beautiful family, and these are only some of the people who make up my family. I married into an incredible family that loves and supports Bryant & I. I am so glad the Lord gave me these folks to walk through life with. My life is filled with so much joy because of them!
